Pinin is a tribute to Pippo Iuppa – the father of the founder. It is made from 120-year-old +, bush vines, some undetermined indigenous grapes, including ‘relic’ varieties. These relic varieties have been recovered with commitment and passion from an ancient vineyard found among the brambles in their vineyards. These vines are twisted saplings that have met the challenge of time and still give Iuppa the exclusivity of a rare and authentic product. Vigilant selection of the finest bunches, careful vinification adhering to traditional methods, and aging in ideal conditions are the focus of this project.

Vinification:
Hand harvested, destemmed grapes, fermentation for at least 15 days followed by aging in stainless steel tanks for 8 months followed by aging in bottle for a minimum of 8 months.
Tasting:
Medium-bodied, silky, fresh and dry with notes of Amarena cherry, plum, toasted cocoa/Modica chocolate, tobacco and mushroom. A wine that on the nose reveals volcanic hints next to the fruit, almost sulfurous minerals and in the mouth is hot, of good acidity. On the palate, it is warm and balanced, with velvety and elegant tannins that give a pleasant mineral persistence. A wine that expresses the authenticity of the centenary native grapes from which it is obtained.
